Singapore is well-known as a City in a Garden, with her high-rise skyscrapers and landscaped gardens. Notably, the city’s oldest garden, the Singapore Botanic Gardens, is Singapore’s first UNESCO Heritage Site, which boosts the world’s largest orchid display of over 60,000 plants and orchid plants.

Other nature attractions related to conservation in Singapore include the Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve, Coney Island Park which is home to over 80 species of birds and the nearby Lorong Halus Wetland, a former landfill converted into a water treatment system and nature park.

There are diverse dining options in central Singapore, from local hawker fare at Newton Food Centre and Tekka Centre – both easily accessible from Marina Bay Sands – to award-winning fine dining restaurants serving Peranakan, Eurasian, East Asian and European cuisines.
