Green Growth & Business Forum

The Green Growth & Business Forum will bring together business leaders to discuss opportunities to accelerate green growth in Singapore and the region.

The UK and Singapore Governments will host the third Green Growth & Business Forum (GGBF) on the 9th of July, 2018. The GGBF is the pre-eminent event for regional businesses, researchers, entrepreneurs and government agencies, to network and forge new partnerships in green growth. The forum will provide a platform for participants to identify new opportunities, deliberate on sector specific challenges and to forge a collective understanding on the actions required to facilitate green growth leadership in the region.

GGBF 2018 is jointly organised by the National Climate Change Secretariat, Strategy Group, Prime Minister’s Office, Ministry of Trade and Industry, Ministry of Environment and Water Resources, and British High Commission Singapore. Held in conjunction with the World Cities Summit, Clean Enviro Summit Singapore and Singapore International Water Week, GGBF 2018 shares the green/sustainability objectives underlying each of these events.

Technical Briefing on Innovation Call for Environmental Solutions

The Technical Briefing for the Innovation Call on Environmental Services, which was launched in July 2018, will provide more details on the problem statements released in the launch. Interested technology providers who intend to propose solutions are invited to attend the briefing. 

The purpose of the Innovation Call is to:
  • Test-bed technologies and encourage greater use of technology and automation
  • Increase the overall productivitfor the National Environment Agency and industry operations related to the cleaning and waste management industry
  • Support local SMEs and start-ups in developing competitive technologies for application in the Environmental Services Sector

Green Jobs Symposium

In conjunction with CESS 2018, the National Environment Agency is jointly organising the Green Jobs Symposium @ CESS with Young NTUC on 11 July 2018. Targeted at students from tertiary institutions, the symposium aims to showcase the career opportunities and future jobs in the environmental services industry. Besides global experts sharing, students would also be able to interact with potential employers to learn how they can build a meaningful career in the sector.
